Photovoltaic inspection can know which type of battery has good performance and low cost. Batteries currently on the market include polycrystalline, thin film and single crystal.


First, the shapes of single crystals and polycrystals are also different in appearance. Polycrystalline cells are square substrates, and polycrystalline silicon can be directly made into square materials by special methods. The silicon rod of the single crystal cell is cylindrical, and the plane utilization rate of slicing into solar energy is low. Polycrystalline cells are blue, so the conversion rate of solar energy is reduced. Noah testing Zhang said that the single crystal battery has obvious advantages in this regard, and it is black. Compared with polycrystalline cells, the photoelectric conversion rate is higher.


Second, in terms of price, the cost of single-crystal batteries is higher than that of polycrystals, and the conversion rate is relatively high. At present, most photovoltaic projects on the market are more inclined to buy polycrystalline cells. Because the production process of the polycrystalline battery is simpler than that of the single crystal process, the cost is lower. There is also a thin film component in the battery, which has strong light transmission and is suitable for agricultural greenhouses and buildings with insufficient load-bearing capacity that require strong light transmission. However, the disadvantages of thin film are high cost, large footprint and long recycling cycle. Therefore, at present, polycrystalline batteries are a common choice for developers, so the market share of polycrystalline batteries is high.
